On Lie's functional equation of translation type (Q704880)

It is exciting to read a paper connected with the classical works of Sophus Lie concerning the functional equations which define the Abelian integrals of the first kind. The present paper makes this connection. The authors consider the functional equations of translation surfaces studied by Sophus Lie and solve these equations in the case of quadrics under various regularity assumptions and by using different methods. The paper, rich in results, has 33 pages and is dedicated to Prof. János Aczél ``octogesimum annum agenti, viro doctissimo, magistro optimo''.
