The authors introduce and study a class of nonlinear hemivariational inequalities of second order with a forcing term of subcritical growth. Using the theory of nonlinear operators of monotone type and set-valued analysis techniques, they proved an existence theorem for the Dirichlet boundary value problem under some suitable conditions.
