Summary: This paper develops methodology for predicting faecal coliform values in waterways when some of the data are missing, and some of the data are left-censored. Such predictions are important in predicting when bathing is safe in specific areas of Sydney harbor. The approach taken in the paper makes use of spatial information to improve these predictions.
