Four types of frequency sampling filters are developed. For each type of filter, system functions are derived for filters with arbitrary impulse responses and arbitrary frequency responses. These filter implementations can implement narrowband 2D linear phase filters and narrowband 2D linear phase filters with fourfold symmetry much more efficiently than direct convolution implementations.
