The authors classify \(2\)-arc-transitive regular covers of complete graphs such that the covering transformation group of the covers is isomorphic to \(Z_p\times Z_p\times Z_p\) for a prime \(p\) and such that the group of fibre-preserving transformations is \(2\)-arc-transitive. As a by-product, new infinite families of \(2\)-arc-transitive graphs are obtained
