Massey triple products in cohomology are constructed using a choice of cocycles and consequently are only defined modulo some indeterminacy. In this paper the author notes a simple procedure for annihilating this indeterminacy. He observes that this result is ``easy but surprisingly effective'', and uses it in re-proving and generalizing various results about triple products.
