Properties of \((\in,\in\vee q)\)-bipolar fuzzy subalgebras and \((\in,\in\vee q)\)-bipolar fuzzy ideals of BCI-algebras are described by the corresponding level subalgebras and level ideals. A part of the results is a consequence of the transfer principle for fuzzy sets described in [\textit{M. Kondo} and the reviewer, Mathware Soft Comput. 12, No. 1, 41--55 (2005; Zbl 1081.03054)].
