The author considers two definitions of almost periodic operators on metric spaces and discusses the difference equation \[ Fx = h, \] where \(h\) is almost periodic on some metric space and \(F\) belongs to the class of shift almost periodic operators on that metric space. He discusses the existence of an almost periodic solution of the aforementioned equation.
