Bound states of the magnetic Schrödinger operator (Q727846)

The author's aim is to make a synthesis of some recent advances in the spectral theory of the magnetic Schrödinger operator, mainly related to his own work. Part 1 of the book provides a brief presentation of main concepts and ideas used in the rest of the monograph as well as many leading examples. In Part 2 the author gives a survey of some known facts and statements of main results. The topics considered are the following: spectral reduction including Born-Oppenheimer approximation and WKB expansions, magnetic wells in dimension \(2\), boundary magnetic wells in dimension \(3\), waveguides, and some nonlinear problems. Detailed proofs are given in Part 3--6.
