This paper is concerned with inviscid flows around any bounded simple polygon. The regularity of the flows is established as far as needed; some basic maximum principles are recalled. It is shown that there are no bounded simple polygons that allow nontrivial incompressible (respectively, compressible) irrotational inviscid exterior flows with bounded velocity (respectively, arbitrarily small Mach number).
