A modified Casteljau algorithm to solve interpolation problems on Stiefel manifolds (Q730522)

In the present paper, the authors present a new method to generate smooth interpolating curves on Stiefel manifolds. They have used a modification of the geometric Casteljau algorithm on manifolds which is based on successive quasi-geodesic interpolation. Another type of manifolds investigated in this paper are the Grassmann manifolds. The paper contains eight sections. In Section seven, the authors, presented two interesting experiments which are very important for the theory presented in the paper. In conclusion, the paper contains new and interesting results worth to be studied for those interested in Grassmann and Stiefel manifolds.
