The authors use factorization methods to establish the existence of solutions to a class of integro-differential equations arising in the kinetic theory of metals. Editorial remark. Due to ibid. 46, No. 6, 922 (2010; Zbl 1202.45007), there are three errors found by A. B. Nersesyan in this paper, including the fact that there is in effect no proof for Theorem 2.
