The main theorem of this paper, based on the results in the previous paper by the same authors [J. Reine Angew. Math. 634, 209--234 (2009; Zbl 1181.14033)], shows how to construct new Prym-Tyurin varieties out of given ones. As an application they compute the isogeny decomposition of the Jacobian of a certain curve constructed from Galois covering over the projective line with Galois group isomorphic to the dihedral group.
