The paper describes periodic solutions and regions of parametric instability of modified Mathieu equation. The authors consider even and odd solutions and the corresponding eigenvalues and eigenfunctions. By this way, the authors establish qualitatively new and unknown properties of parametric oscillations in systems with high modulation coefficients.
