The author analyzes Hilbert's 21st problem for scalar Fuchsian equations. By passing to the systems the author shows equivalence of 3 statements. This is a generalization of the results of Bolibruch on Fuchsian systems. In addition, the rigidity of Fuchsian equations is discussed.
