The partial differential equation of Prandtl type applied to describe the motion of an electrically conducting fluid in rapidly oscillating magnetic field -- now in variables introduced by Mises -- is discussed. The main problem is the estimation of the rate of convergence of the solution to a classical one found out for a given value of a parameter of the equation.
