The authors investigate a packing by equal translation balls in \(\widetilde{SL_2 (\mathbb{R})}\), one of 3-dimensional Thurston model spaces. They construct the infinite family of packings in \(\widetilde{SL_2 (\mathbb{R})}\) by translation balls generated by the group \(G_{pq}=\mathbf{pq2}_1\) action.
