This paper deals with the study of the facial structure of (complex) JB\(^*\)-triples and to its ``local'' version: the facial structure of the image of the space by the second Peirce projection associated to a compact tripotent of the bidual space. A description of the local facial structure corresponding to compact tripotents of the bidual is given. Also, criteria for norm-closed faces of the unit ball in a JB\(^*\)-triple to be norm-exposed are given.
