If \(f\colon S\to T\) is an epimorphism of monoids, then it is an epimorphism of pomonoids. The author shows that the converse statement also holds. That is, if \(f\colon S\to T\) is an epimorphism of pomonoids, then it is an epimorphism of monoids. In Theorem 1, one of the main results of the paper, the author shows that a subpomonoid \(U\) of a pomonoid \(S\) is closed in \(S\) as a pomonoid if it is such as a monoid.
