A Vaisman structure [\textit{I. Vaisman}, Rend. Mat., VI. Ser. 12, 263--264 (1979; Zbl 0447.53032)] is a locally conformal Kähler (LCK) structure with parallel Lee form. The author states two results on the existence of Vaisman structures on LCK compact solvmanifolds. From one of these results it follows that the parallelism of the Lee form depends on the expression of the fundamental 2-form, but not on the complex structure.
