Let M be a strictly pseudoconvex CR manifold. In Adv. Math. 31, 131-262 (1979; Zbl 0444.32013), \textit{C. Fefferman} constructed a volume element on M such that the associated Szegö projector has a natural transformation law under CR isomorphisms. The author generalizes these ideas to a general CR manifold with vanishing real Chern classes of the canonical bundles.
