The paper presents a \((T_ i,S_ i)\)-inventory policy model for deteriorating items with continuous, time proportional demand. The optimal ordering policy is obtained under the assumptions that the demand rate is deterministic and linearly changing with time, the rate of deterioration is constant, the planning horizon is finite and known, and opportunities for replenishment are discrete with varying intervals. A dynamic programming method is used to solve the model.
