The sequences satisfying a fixed linear recurrence relation of order m form a vector space of dimension m. The author exhibits bases of this vector space, by computing the determinant of a generalized Vandermonde matrix [cf. also the reviewer and \textit{H. Lüneburg}, Arch. Math. 34, 428-439 (1980; Zbl 0427.30003)].
