The Witt ring of a space of signatures (Q750526)

In two papers [J. Algebra 119, 105-122 (1988; Zbl 0659.10020), Commun. Algebra 16, 577-612 (1988; Zbl 0644.10016)] the second author has introduced the concept of spaces of signatures and proved a representation theorem that yields the one proved by \textit{E. Becker} and the reviewer [J. Algebra 92, 477-503 (1985; Zbl 0555.10009)]. This proof required a two-primary assumption for the orders of the group elements. In the present paper, the authors succeed in giving a definition of spaces of signatures for general groups of finite exponent and deducing the general representation theorem. In the abstract setting that the authors use this is quite difficult to do and the authors can be proud of their accomplishments.
