This short communication addresses the problem of failures in a systolic array. The main idea is to duplicate the computation and compare the results. Applying this principle to systolic arrays allows the detection of faults in the individual processors without loss of the regular structure of the hardware and without change in the time complexity of the computation. The paper gives examples of the systolic architectures for linear algebra problems.
