Let G act distance-transitively on a graph \(\Gamma\). The authors list the known 28 exceptional distance-transitive representations of groups G with \(PSL_ 2\trianglelefteq G\leq P\Gamma L_ 2(q)\) for \(5\leq q\leq 25\). They then characterize all such G and \(\Gamma\) for \(q=p^ m\) with p prime and \(q\geq 5\).
