Some notes on neighbourhood spaces (Q756177)

Properties of neighbourhood maps of neighbourhood spaces in the sense of \textit{C. T. J. Dodson} and \textit{R. Lok} [Ars Comb. 16-A, 107-130 (1983; Zbl 0541.54001)] are investigated, which are presented as a tool for the investigation in hypergraph theory. A point x of a neighbourhood space (X,\(\tau\)) is said to be a strong point of a neighbourhood map f: (X,\(\tau\))\(\to (X,\tau)\) if f(\(\tau\) (x))\(\subseteq \tau (x)\). Relationships are established between other types of special points of neighbourhood maps of neighbourhood spaces also with respect to properties of retracts of such spaces.
