The authors, using some techniques of \textit{Krasinkiewicz} and \textit{Minc}, prove that any semi-hereditarily unicoherent \(\omega\)-connected plane continuum has at most one dense arc component. If, in addition, the continuum is almost arcwise connected, then it has a dense arc component, and every other arc component is nowhere dense. In the sequel they construct some examples of continua one of which has exactly two arc components, both of which are dense, and the other with exactly three arc components, none of which is dense. Finally, some very interesting questions are posed.
