The purpose of this paper is to give a generalization of the so-called May mite prey-predator model when the coefficients involved depend on the temperature. Thus the model is described by a one-parameter system of two ordinary differential equations. Following a method previously used by the first two authors and \textit{J. A. Logan} [Bull. Math. Biol. 50, No.4, 379-409 (1988; Zbl 0652.92019)], the present authors investigate the behavior (stability, convergence, limit cycles, bifurcation) of this system when the parameter (temperature) moves in a given interval.
