A generalization of Connor's inequality to t-designs with automorphisms (Q757378)

\textit{W. S. Connor} [Ann. Math. Statist. 23, 57-71 (1952; Zbl 0046.361)], developed a system of inequalities concerning the pairwise intersections \(\mu_{ij}=| K_ i\cap K_ j|\) of m blocks, \(K_ 1,K_ 2...K_ m\) of an S(\(\lambda\) ;t,k,v) design. \textit{R. M. Wilson} [Linear Algebra Appl. 46, 73-82 (1982; Zbl 0492.05013)] established a fundamental theorem. In this paper, firstly it is shown that Connor's inequalities are a consequence of this theorem. Secondly, the incidence algebra for t- designs with automorphisms and the above fundamental theorem are exploited and generalising this theorem interestingly the generalised Connor's inequalities are obtained.
