Similar to the author's preceding article [Rep. Fac. Sci., Kagoshima Univ., Math. Phys. Chem. 16, 1-14 (1983; reviewed above)] the spline approximation is considered to the two-point boundary value problem. Using the cubic B-spline, he gives the similar results on theorems, asymptotic expansion of errors, a-posteriori improvement and chopping procedure. Some numerical examples are shown to illustrate the a- posteriori improvement or the chopping procedure.
