Heat transfer in a medium with a randomly heated surface is considered. Explicit expressions for temperature correlations at different points of the medium are derived. Analogous results are obtained for the problem of diffusion in the case of sources with random components. In many important cases the correlations decrease with increasing distance from the surface as the fourth power of the depth.
