[For part I see the paper reviewed above] Digital filters with piecewise polynomial or piecewise sinusoidal impulse responses are realized using a recursive filter layout. Various well-known filters such as low-pass, high-pass, bandpass and Hilbert transformers are approximated by the proposed recursive filter structure. Stability problems associated with the filter realization are examined.
