Powers of subgroups in voting bodies (Q762078)

Let an N-member voting body use majority rule to decide a yes/no question. Denote by \(p_ n\) the Banzhaf value of a bloc of n voters; \(p_ n\) is the probability that the decision changes when all the members of the bloc change their votes. This paper gives the formula for \(p_ n\). In particular, \(p_ n=p_{n+1}\) if \(n<N\) is odd, while \(\lim_{N\to \infty}(p_{n+1}/p_ n)=n+1/n\), if n is even.
