The fixed points of the polarity of a de Morgan algebra are characterized by means of binary partitions on the subset of join-irreducible elements. This characterization is used to compute the number of fixed points in finite distributive lattices every interval of which can be made into a de Morgan algebra, and in the free distributive lattice FD(n) on n generators. Complete results are tabulated for \(n\leq 6\) and every polarity definable on FD(n).
