The authors study one/two dimensional Neumann problems in unbounded domains, using the generalized Jacobi rational spectral method with essential imposition of Neumann boundary conditions. Some basic approximation results are established and related spectral schemes are proposed. The convergence is proved and the numerical errors are analyzed for several model problems. The numerical results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed approach.
