Given a triangle, Fermat's problem seeks to find the internal point such that the sum of its distances to the vertices of the triangle is minimal. This paper revisits this problem relating it to other classical geometrical problems and results such as Ptolemy's lemma, Napoleon's theorem or Lemoine's problem.
