In this paper it is introduced and studied a class of weighted Sobolev spaces and a related notion of subellipticity that allows an extension of the Carleman method of \textit{A. Andreotti} and \textit{E. Vesentini} [Inst. Haut. Etud. Sci., Publ. Math. No.25, 81-130, Erratum 27, 757-758 (1965; Zbl 0138.066)] for the Dolbeault complex to more general differential complexes. Applications are given to some constant coefficients complexes.
