Weighted Sobolev spaces with applications to singular nonlinear boundary value problems (Q788880)

Betrachtet wird das folgende Randwertproblem: \[ (*)\quad(- 1/\rho(t))(\rho(t)u')'+u=F(u),\quad t\in(0,\infty),\quad \lim_{t\to \infty}u(t)=0 \] wobei \(\rho\) (t) eine steigende Funktion ist mit \(\rho(+0)\geq 0,\quad \lim_{t\to \infty}\rho(t)=0\) und wobei F geeignete Bedingungen erfüllt. Unter Verwendung von Methoden der Variationsrechnung und durch Erweiterung eines Resultats von \textit{P. H. Rabinowitz} [Rocky Mt. J. Math. 3, 161-202 (1973; Zbl 0255.47069)] wird die Existenz einer Lösung von (*) bewiesen.
