The authors demonstrate that for a wide class of problems of behavior of structures subject to time independent loads, in the regime of nonlinear creep ''skeletal points'' do not exist. The discussion is based on a simple, but comprehensive, one-dimensional model and is concerned with its transient creep states. Of special interest to developers and users of approximate methods of analysis of creep.
