The paper employs the method of singularities to study the effect of micropolarity on the slow steady flow of incompressible, micropolar fluid past a prolate spheroid. The polar viscosity coefficient K is taken small and the two cases \(K/\mu =q_ 1\lambda,\quad q_ 2\lambda^ 2\) are considered, where \(\lambda^ 2=K(2\mu +K)/\gamma(\mu +K)\) is the polarity characteristic parameter. A simple expression for the drag on the body is noticed. It is somewhat odd that the velocity field is independent of the parameter \(\lambda\).
