Optimal control of quantum statistical ensembles (Q791137)

The author considers the equation \({\dot \rho}=i[H,\rho]\), with initial condition: \(\rho(0)=\rho_ 0\). Here \(H=H_ 0+H_ 1u_ 1+...+H_ mu_ m\) and \(u_ 1,...,u_ m\) are the control functions. He obtains necessary conditions of optimality in the form of the maximum principle and gives some practical methods for the numerical solution of the problem
