It is well known that Newton's equations of motion possess several equivalent forms easier to apply to special mechanical systems. One variant of the Appel form, involving quasi velocities and quasi accelerations is proposed. It is used to describe the motion of the intrinsic Serret-Frénet frame attached to a point mass.
