Extending the results obtained by \textit{M. Mansour} [Automatica 2, 167-178 (1965; Zbl 0142.364)] upper and lower limits for coefficient values of a stable 2-D polynomial are given. The presented coefficient ranges can be used for stability testing of 2-D discrete linear systems, by comparing the coefficient value with the ranges necessary for stability. Extension of these results to higher-dimensional polynomials is considered.
