The theory of orthomorphisms on Riesz spaces is used to study the order structure of strongly closed algebras of operators generated by equicontinuous Boolean algebras of projections in locally convex spaces. One of the principal results of the paper is an extension of a well-known reflexivity theorem of W. G. Bade.
