Necessary and sufficient conditions and tests for the regulability of strictly proper and proper 2-D systems are presented. The main part of the regulability tests of 2-D systems is the detection of unstable common zeros of the denominator and the numerator of the system. The method can be extended to multi-dimensional systems.
