The author derives a branching theorem for the ordinary irreducible representations of Weyl groups \(S_ 2\wr S_ n\cap A_{2n}\) (type \(D_ n)\) over a certain subgroup which is called the folding subgroup of type \(B_{n-1}\) (since it is a Weyl group of type \(B_{n-1}\) and naturally embedded).
