This short note presents the equation of motion for an anisotropic medium with one plane of symmetry (xz). It is assumed that displacement is a function of coordinates x,z and time, and the problem of a screw dislocation is considered. Simple transformation procedure proves that the solution can be deduced from the result known for an isotropic medium [the first author, ibid. 10, 193-201 (1980; Zbl 0441.73142)].
