A linear equation of diffusion type with a small parameter in the elliptic operator is considered. The equation is treated as a control system with feedback using observations of the state in a finite number of points in the interior of the domain. The properties of a certain asymptotic series solution are studied. The results are regarded as useful techniques for near optimum design of control systems.
