The author constructs new examples of (n-1)-connected tight hypersurfaces in \({\mathbb{R}}^{2n+1}\). Topologically these are connected sums of several copies of \(S^ n\times S^ n\). There are also some results concerning taut submanifolds, which are related to those in \textit{G. Thorbergsson} [Math. Ann. 265, 399-405 (1983; Zbl 0507.57022)].
